Our past shapes our future - this is the story of a man's life
With the aim of making a short that looks at the concept of an "archive" I decided to look at my own family and the lives that exist, behind the smiles in the endless supply of family photo albums.
In particular the life of my Father. Adopted from birth and doing his first tour of Northern Ireland at 18, he has gone on to work as a Police Officer, in the Security Service and as a bodyguard. But how does this affect those left at home? When your life is dealing with the worst and most trying situations, how do you switch off? how do you cope? how do you come home and just be...Dad?
